A festive trip through time
Give your Christmas shopping campaign a head start at Lincoln's famous and much-loved Christmas Market. With a visit to Nottingham's Winter Wonderland also included, this is the perfect break for picking up some pre-Christmas bargains.
Leaving the local area, in the morning we'll head to our hotel. Once here you'll have time to freshen up and relax before dinner is served.
This morning we head to the beautiful hill-top city of Lincoln. Each year, the city and its German twin, Neustadt, get together in the streets surrounding the magnificent cathedral and castle for a spectacular Christmas market.
Wander the 250-plus seasonal stalls, enjoying the organists, carol singers and the heady aroma of mulled wine while browsing for festive decorations, souvenirs and unusual gifts. You may also like to visit recently restored Lincoln Castle (entry fee payable locally) or imposing Lincoln Cathedral - home to one of the four remaining copies of Magna Carta.
Today we'll head home, stopping on the way at Nottingham's Winter Wonderland and Victorian Christmas market to browse the stalls and soak up a little more Yuletide cheer.
After the chance to have lunch (payable locally) we'll continue our journey home, arriving back at your original pick-up point by the mid evening.
