Rich history, picturesque beaches and pretty little villages await on a cruise of Malta. The country may be small, but you'll find this archipelago absolutely brimming with charm.

Venturing to Malta can feel a little like stepping back in time. Alongside the sophisticated 21st century sights and architecture that lines this magnificent island, you'll find a wealth of beautiful old buildings, quaint coastal towns and grand centuries-old churches. There is certainly plenty of history to explore here too. From Medieval walled citadels to the enchanting Megalithic temples dating back to prehistoric times, and a range of museums to enjoy, the deep heritage on display here is equally fascinating and impressive.

A cruise of Malta is one of the best ways to explore this dazzling island. Take in spectacular sights including dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and striking coastlines, all from the comfort of the ship, before enjoying the very best of this enchanting archipelago on land. Soak up the ample sunshine at one of the postcard-worthy beaches, pay a visit to the sleepy little island of Gozo, or simply sit and watch the traditional fishing boats bobbing in the harbour. The local cuisine is reason enough to be tempted ashore; as well as beautifully fresh seafood you'll find authentic and mouthwatering dishes such as rabbit stew, baked macaroni and pastizzi; a pastry with a filling of mushy peas or ricotta.

Time spent in the island's capital, Valletta, is a worthwhile addition to any Malta cruise stop. Not only is it a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its tiny size makes it wonderfully walkable, making it easy to explore its many highlights, including St John’s Cathedral and the Presidential Palace. Our Malta cruises also provide the chance to take in the view of the city's Grand Harbour from the water; a bewitching experience in itself.
