The United Kingdom is home to some of the world’s most striking historic landmarks, from prehistoric structures and scars of divisions now past, to centuries old sites of church, state and leisure.
Spanning just 94,530 square miles across four territories, the United Kingdom isn’t the largest of all holiday destinations. But these beautiful lands manage to pack such a staggering diversity of landscapes, from lofty, rocky mountain ranges in the north - think Scotland’s Cairngorms and Wales’ Snowdonia - to the rolling green hills and farmland in the South of England. Of course, there’s the not-so-natural-delights, including the historic villages of the Cotswolds and the bustling cities of Manchester and London.
