Where stories begin
In addition to the opportunities for single travellers to join our existing tours and cruises, for 2020 and beyond we’re offering a selected range of specially created solos holidays, which will feature a number of additional benefits and special arrangements that will help you make the very most of your time with us. As well as all the usual comfort, quality and value of a Newmarket holiday, you can look forward to some extra touches that will help you feel right at home - things like a Welcome Drink get-together on your first evening, included dinners during which you'll get to know your fellow solo travellers, and a number of activities to add to the pleasure of the tours*. Accommodation on these solos holidays is typically in twin/double rooms for sole use**, which means that at the end of each day’s tour, you can look forward to the chance to rest and relax in your own comfortable space, before joining fellow guests for drinks or dinner.
* The additional benefits, extra touches and special arrangements will vary from tour to tour.
** At some hotels we are able to offer a discount for rooms with a single bed.
With more solo travellers joining us than ever, we’re delighted to announce that we now offer even more single-occupancy rooms and cabins across all our tours, as well as a selection of holidays exclusively for solos to some wonderful destinations.
Discover the sights, sounds and stories of some of the world's most extraordinary and enchanting destinations on one of our carefully crafted solos tours.
Taking your first solo trip? Here's what you might be wondering...
No, the price listed for solo tours is the price you pay. There are no single supplements on top of this.
You will always have a room of your own on our solo tours. You are never expected to share a hotel room. Most of the time you will receive a double bed or twin beds for sole occupancy, but occasionally hotels offer the option of a single bed at a discount.
Our itineraries offer a mix of included and optional excursions, so you can dip in and out as much or as little as you like. We understand that ‘me time’ is important and you’ll never be forced to join in when you don’t wish to.
Only if this is your preference. Our tour managers host included mealtimes and where meals are not included, make suggestions about restaurants, cafes and bars where the group can dine together if they would like to do so.
Of course not! You should ideally be travelling alone, though. If you’d like to travel with your partner, we have a wide range of non-solo holidays and tours to check out.
