Itinerary

Day One

Leaving the local area by coach, this morning we'll travel to your hotel. Check in, then simply relax until dinner.

Day Two

After breakfast we'll journey through the beautiful Cotswolds countryside to Chipping Campden. Follow the curved high street past ancient buildings and wonderful independent shops, or visit St James' Church to see the oldest altar tapestry in England. Enjoy lunch (payable locally) in one of the town's tea-rooms before we continue to nearby Toddington.

From Toddington we ride the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway to Cheltenham station, through the 693-yard Greet Tunnel and past Winchcombe Station (whose buildings have been transplanted, stone by stone, from Monmouth Troy in Wales). Your 40-minute journey winds through some unforgettable countryside, with views of the Malvern Hills and Vale of Evesham, so keep your camera handy.

Day Three

This morning you'll visit Bourton-on-the-Water. Stroll along the banks of the Windrush, past the low-arched stone bridges that gave the town its "Little Venice" nickname. See St Lawrence's domed tower, visit the Model Railway Exhibition or the Perfume or Motor Car museums, or simply sit in one of the cafes and watch the world go by.

After time for lunch (payable locally), we'll head for home, arriving back in the local area during mid-to-late evening.

Coach seating arrangements

Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

The break was well worth the money. the only down side was we didn't receive our itiniary ten days before as stated we would and also the hotel didn't follow the requirements that we needed to help our stay, these were sorted once we made them aware and our tour manager confirmed our needs. Hotel staff were very helpful. Would recommend this break.

CLIVE

Beds Couple
This was a 3 day break to the Cotswolds, but the first day was wasted travelling slowly to an out-of-the-way cheap Holiday Inn in an uninteresting part of Birmingham. The room and included breakfast and evening meal were more than adequate for the bargain overall price, it was just that the location involved unnecessary coach travel an hour each way, two days running.
Saturday was wonderful particularly if you are a steam railway enthusiast. We even had a guide in our reserved coach on the steam-hauled train, who was also the local Town Crier. Apart from the railway, it also included a visit to Broadway which is beautiful. And at lunchtime we randomly found Prue Leith doing a book signing! Sunday included time in Bourton on the Water which is also well worth a visit. We were back home rather earlier than the blurb has suggested, after the coach driver cut across the Cotswolds, which was both more interesting and quicker than a long motorway trip.
The tour guide was something of a luxury at the bargain price, she did her best but was basically reading from a script.

There was about four hours between arriving at hotel and dinner with nothing to do. Seemed a waste of precious time. Evening meals lack lustre, desserts very synthetic and scrambled eggs hArd and unappetising at breakfast. Otherwise trip ok.

hotel far too far out from Cotswolds. Very expensive bar prices. Bathroom appauling. Grouting all over the tiles, mound at base of tiles on top of the bath. Difficult to regulate the shower.
