Day One: Depart Hull
Board Astoria in Hull today, and settle in to your cabin as the ship prepares to set sail.
Day Two: At sea
Spend today relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Day Three: Torshavn
Torshavn, the tiny capital of the Danish Faroe Islands, is Astoria's destination today. The Faroes are a birdwatchers’ paradise in the heart of the Gulf Stream, and their inhabitants live surrounded by natural beauty. Discover Torshavn’s confusion of lanes and narrow passages, black-tarred houses with turf roofs and modern centre, or join an excursion to another part of the islands, perhaps crossing the famous ‘Bridge across the Atlantic’, which connects the main island of Streymoy with smaller Eysturoy.
Day Four: At sea
Relax on board as Astoria spends another day at sea.
Day Five: Reykjavik
Reykjavik is the world's northernmost capital. Its brightly painted wooden buildings contrast sharply with the stunning beauty of its setting beneath Mount Ejsa. Step ashore to explore, take the lift to the top of the Hallgrimskirkja Church for a panoramic view, or visit the fascinating Arbaer Folk Museum and the Saga Museum.
Day Six: At sea
Spend another day at sea, hopefully enjoying sunny skies.
Day Seven: Akureyri
Akureyri, on Iceland's rugged north coast, is a thriving winter sports centre and home to a fascinating Botanical Garden. The area beyond is wondrously scenic, and today's excursion, to the Godafoss Falls and volcanic Lake Myvatn, will highlight many of its delights.
Days Eight and Nine: At sea
Relax on board and relive the memories your cruise to Iceland as Astoria spends two days at sea, heading home.
Day 10: Kirkwall
Today Astoria arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.
Day 11: At sea
Make the most of your final day aboard Astoria as she cruises back towards Hull.
Day 12: Arrive Hull
Bid farewell to Astoria and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.
