Deck Plans

Click here to display the deck plans for this cruise.

Day One

Board the coach in the local area this morning and transfer to Hull for our overnight sailing to Rotterdam/Zeebrugge.

Day Two

Upon arrival this morning, continue the journey by coach to Amsterdam, to join Olympia. Enjoy dinner on board and spend your first evening getting acquainted with the ship, as she sets off on her journey into the Markermeer.

Day Three

You're free this morning to stroll the attractive, 17th-century streets of delightful Hoorn, before Olympia crosses the inland sea to Lelystad, on the shore of reclaimed Flevoland. Join this afternoon's optional excursion to explore magnificent Het Loo Palace, the former residence of the Dutch royal family, before continuing to Zaandam and the day's final call. Discover the city centre's green-painted houses and the nearby iconic windmills - all of which were regular subjects of the artist Claude Monet.

Day Four

See the dazzling colours of world-renowned Keukenhof Gardens today, where some seven million bulbs comprised of over 800 varieties of tulip decorate the landscape. Spend the morning strolling through the gardens, or perhaps take a boat ride (payable locally) through the floral displays.

Later, re-join Olympia in Amsterdam for a final night on board. An optional cheese and wine cruise this afternoon takes in the sights from the city's famous canals - the perfect way to round off your trip.

Day Five

Disembark Olympia and board the coach to begin the journey home, returning to Rotterdam/Zeebrugge for the overnight ferry sailing back to Hull.

Day Six

Disembark in Hull this morning, and continue by coach to the local area.

Further Information

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Optional shore excursions

Optional excursions are available on all cruises, and we recommend that you book now to secure your place. If the number of bookings needed to operate any excursion is not reached, the excursion may be cancelled. In this case your payment will be refunded in full.

Pre-paid drinks package

Spend just £17.50 per person per night, and enjoy unlimited draught beer, house wine and soft drinks (including water, tea and coffee) between 10am and midnight while on board Olympia. All other drinks are not included. The drinks package must be purchased by every person occupying a particular cabin.

Tipping is not compulsory, but from experience we know that many passengers like to leave gratuities for the crew. An envelope will be left in your cabin for this purpose.

Dress code

The dress code on board and ashore is casual. After 7pm, in the lounge and restaurant, shorts are not permitted, and footwear and a shirt or T-shirt must be worn.

Where possible, non-rigid suitcases are easier to store within your cabin.

Drinking water

The tap water on board is safe to drink, but may not be to your taste due to the purification system.

Itinerary changes

On rare occasions, the Captain may need to alter the Cruise Itinerary. If this happens, the Cruise Manager will keep passengers informed.

Cabin sizes

The majority of cabins on board are 10.5m square. Single cabins are approximately 7.7m square. (These measurements include the bathroom.) Standard Promenade cabins are 15m square and most have double beds (which do not convert to sofas), but they do not have a table or stool and will by subject to engine noise during overnight and early morning sailing.

*This offer applies to new bookings made between 24th February and 14th April 2017 (inclusive) only. Prices shown when booking do not include the discount. The discount amount will be added to your booking once the promo code has been entered and will be confirmed before purchase. Single cabin full fares will be discounted by 50 per cent when the promo code is applied. The offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, and may be withdrawn at any time.

The description is a misnomer, it should be canal cruise with bus excursions including half day bus trip to Keukenhoff. There is no cruise through the bulbfields and you can see much more colourful fields around Spalding in Lincolnshire
Newmarket show a remarkable lack of care, depositing travellers in Amsterdam for a day without a map before joining the cruise ship. A similar lack of responsibility is taken for the return journey leaving passengers in the care of the bus driver for the day, although this is all counted in to the holiday ( 6 days shown on itinerary)
A map of Enkuizen would have made access to the ZuiderZee museum better and given a better impression of the size of the museum.
The cruise manager made several sexist and xenophobic comments and should be more aware of the "protected characteristics"
Day 4 was very rushed, early departure to Keukenhoff and a very rushed lunch to get to the canal cruise.
The transfers to and from Hull were very good.
The bus driver took care of the passengers and provided a reasonable itinerary for the days not planned by Newmarket.
A fault with the air-conditioning on Olympia was repaired after the second report.
There was no wifi access on the ship.

The crew of the ship were excellent, but the cruise manager is in need of diversity training - especially when over 50% of the passengers are female.

Stockton on tees Couple
Totally inappropriate stop off on the Sunday morning. We were dropped at a remote and CLOSED shopping centre in the freezing cold.
The tour manager did not endear himself to the group seemed not to care where we went more involved with his sudoku puzzles. The coach driver was much more pro active and genuinely helpful.
The worst aspect was the fact that we were told squarely where we would be sitting for ALL our meals and told there would be no exceptions or possibility to move.Unfortunately the couple we were sitting with were not friendly and this put a damper on the whole trip.We couldn't fully enjoy the delicious food as it was so awkward at mealtimes. I will never risk a trip like this again ! Ps we did write to you at the time but got a minimal response.
