Fly to Cologne or travel by rail with Eurostar via Brussels and transfer to the A-ROSA SENA for your seven-night cruise.
The best views of Cologne are from the river. Your ship moors close to the old town, with its narrow streets filled with traditional old houses, breweries, beer halls, cafes and shops. Explore ancient walls and medieval churches, a fantastic selection of quality museums and, the calling card of the city, its famous Gothic cathedral, dominating the skyline.
Arrive in Amsterdam in the early afternoon. The A-ROSA SENA makes an impressive sight moored just footsteps from the city's iconic Central Station and close to the city centre. Explore the history of Amsterdam as you weave through its pretty tree-lined canals and quirky streets. World renowned sights include, the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House and the controversial red-light district. Of course, you’ll have the option of an expert guided tour of this vibrant metropolis. As the canals are lit up by charming city lights, opt for a canal cruise by night, a wonderful experience.
Today you’ll have another chance to explore the Dutch capital. Perhaps, you will take a cycle tour of this famously bipedal city or take to the water and explore its historic canals on a barge tour. Visit your favourite museum or art gallery, and meander through Amsterdam’s ancient streets, lined with cafes and boutiques to its famous flea markets. Don’t miss out on delicious Dutch pancakes, too. Perhaps take an optional tour to the ancient town of Haarlem, noted for its medieval character and centre for flower growing.
As the A-ROSA SENA switches to silent battery power, you will glide elegantly into Rotterdam with its impressive skyline with the Erasmusbrug bridge before you. Rotterdam is the centre of contemporary architecture, home to the famous cube houses and the Witte Huis, the first skyscraper in Europe. It is easy to explore Rotterdam from the ship’s central mooring this afternoon and evening. Soak up the atmosphere in the vibrant waterfront area at the Old Harbour, the perfect place to enjoy a late afternoon or evening drink enjoying the laidback Dutch lifestyle.
Sail this morning to historic Dordrecht, where you can enjoy an included walking and spend the rest of the day exploring the oldest city in Holland. Visit Grote Kerk church dating back to the 11th century, the fine art museum, and stroll through centuries-old packing houses and historic trading canals. Perhaps enjoy an optional excursion to the historic fortress town of Willemstad.
A wonderful day ahead exploring the Antwerp’s treasure trove of delights, from its medieval centre -Grote Markt - with cobbled lanes, treat-filled cafes, gift shops, and boutiques. Visit the riverside fortress Het Steen dating back to the 13th century and the magnificent baroque Cathedral of our Lady. Art lovers will enjoy time at Rubens House, or head to the diamond district where you can learn about these precious stones at the excellent museum. All the highlights can be experienced on an optional tour.
Today, enjoy the facilities of the A-ROSA SENA as she sails to Cologne. After a leisurely breakfast, divide your time on the sun deck, in the pool or in the stunning panoramic lounge. Let fascinating views unfold as you past towns, villages and pretty countryside. The tranquil SPA-ROSA is the perfect place to relax; a calm space dedicated to unwinding, with foot baths, a relaxation room, fitness room and jacuzzi. Take an optional treatment if you fancy a pamper.
In the evening, enjoy your last night with entertainment in the lounge - with all drinks included, of course.

A-ROSA’s modern cruise ships on the Rhine offer much space for everything that makes guests‘ holidays even more comfortable. The new E-motion ship on the Rhine sets completely new standards and surpasses any river cruise ship you have ever seen.
Rules may have changed since you last travelled to European Union countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The following are useful guidelines which will help you prepare for your next adventure. You do require government issued passport to travel.
Names - It is very important that all passenger names are exactly as per your passport although we do not require middle names.
Passport - Your passport must meet two requirements to travel to an EU country and to Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. It must be: Less than 10 years old on the day you return home (please check the "date of issue") and valid for at least 3 months after the day you return home (please check the "expiry date").
Visa - You do not need a visa for short trips to most EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. You’ll be able to stay for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period.
European Travel Information & Authorisation System (ETIAS) - Commencing in late 2023 or 2024, all citizens of the United Kingdom will require a ETIAS electronic form completed prior to their arrival into the EU and Schengen member countries. The cost for this travel authorisation will be €7.00 per person with exceptions for under 18’s and over 70’s. The latest information and further details can be found at www.etias.com.
