Full Itinerary

Day One: Join Magellan in Mexico

Fly out to Cancun, and join Magellan in Cozumel.

Day Two: Cozumel, Mexico

Enjoy the island paradise of Cozumel, where you can step ashore to explore the colourful artists’ colony, relax on beautiful, unspoilt beaches or join an optional shore excursion to the spectacular Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.

Day Three: At sea

Spend time relaxing on board as Magellan sails through the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, enjoying the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the ship’s many amenities.

Day Four: Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Arriving on Jamaica's north coast, Magellan calls at Ocho Rios, home to stunning beaches and a laid-back way of life. From here you'll have the chance to set off on shore excursions into the Blue Mountains to see dramatic Dunn's River Falls or the mausoleum of Bob Marley, Jamaica's most famous son, in Nine Mile.

Day Five: At sea

Enjoy another lazy day on board.

Day Six: La Romana, Dominican Republic

Spend a day in the Dominican resort of La Romana, set on a pristine stretch of coast in the southeast corner of the island. From here you can join an optional shore excursion to Santo Domingo, where you'll discover some five centuries of architectural history and the supposed resting place of explorer Christopher Columbus.

Day Seven: Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Magellan arrives on the sun-kissed shores of the British Virgin Islands, anchoring in the historic harbour of Road Town. Spend the afternoon exploring this tiny capital, or join an optional shore excursion to beautiful Mount Healthy National Park.

Day Eight: Basseterre, St Kitts

St Kitts, together with its tiny sister Nevis, forms one of the world’s smallest nations, and is as laid-back and traditionally West Indian as anywhere in the Caribbean. Step ashore in Basseterre to discover the island's stunning beaches, see the restored plantation inns dotting the lush landscape or enjoy the breathtaking views from Brimstone Hill Fortress.

Day Nine: St John's, Antigua

Enjoy a day on beautiful Antigua, as Magellan docks in the thriving town of St John's. Soak up the wonderful scenery, relax on white sand beaches, swim in turquoise waters and discover the attractions lining lively Redliffe Quay.

Day 10: Bridgetown, Barbados

Spend Good Friday in Barbados’ capital, Bridgetown, gateway to palm-fringed beaches, plush hotels and exclusive shore-side restaurants. Today is sure to rank among the highlights of this wonderful cruise.

Days 11-16: At sea

Spend the late Easter weekend relaxing on board as Magellan heads for home, beginning her eastward Atlantic crossing as you make the most of life on board.

Day 17: Horta, Azores

Today we’ll reach Horta, the principal settlement on the island of Faial in the Azores. Spend the day exploring this colourful former whaling station and perhaps take an excursion to the summit of Cabecao Gordo, which boasts breathtaking views of the entire archipelago.

Day 18: Ponta Delgada, Azores

Today’s call is Sao Miguel, the largest of the Azores, and its principal port, Ponta Delgada. Discover magnificent architecture, 16th- and 17th-century artwork and an array of fine churches on this pretty island.
