Itinerary

Day One

Fly to Spain and transfer by coach to Santa Susanna.

Day Two

After our included tour introduces wonderful Barcelona, you're free to explore for the rest of the day. Discover Gaudi's Modernista architecture, explore the medieval Barri Gotic quarter and stroll down the famous avenue, La Rambla. After a day crammed full of highlights, you'll return to the hotel in time for dinner this evening.

Day Three

Today's included tour is a leisurely escorted drive through the rolling foothills - and some higher passes - of the Catalan Pyrenees. We will pass through the Cadi Tunnel, then cross the border into France and visit famously sunny Fort-Romeu-Oreillo, the walled town of Villefranche de Conflent and Perpignan.

Day Four

Enjoy the hotel's amenities and surroundings, or join today's optional excursion to the historic walled city of Girona. A guided walking tour introduces this typically Catalan city, before some free time to explore. Don't miss the cathedral's cool cloisters, the wonderfully restored Arab baths or Europe's best-preserved Jewish quarter.

Day Five

The last included excursion visits the stunning monastery of Montserrat, the spiritual centre of Catalonia. Accessible only by winding road, rack railway or cable car, this centuries-old place of pilgrimage offers outstanding views.

Day Six

After a wonderful stay in Spain, transfer back to the airport for your flight home.

MARY

A lovely holiday organised beautifully by our New Market Rep. only one issue the food was always cold, the rep didn't like us making comments on this saying the Spanish enjoyed their cooked meals cold!!! not true as there were queues of Spanish using the microwave to heat there dinners, perhaps rep too involved with hotel to complain?

Personally I would have preferred more time in Barcelona very good though it was. Montserrat was also stunning as were the Pyrenees .

Generally good. We visited some stunning places. Comfortable hotel, but very poor food. Most of the dishes looked as though they had been prepared a long time ago and many miles away. In addition, none of the hot meals were actually hot. When we complained to the rep, she told us it is not unusual for food in Spanish restaurants to be served on the cool side, but we could make use of the microwaves provided to rectify this. This does not strike me a great solution.

The Hotel Caprici Verd was well below par. The food was not good and cooked meals were often cold. The hotel restaurant Manager was disagreeable and offensive. I did not expect to see gaming machines and pool tables etc. in the main hotel area and on one occasion had to dodge an advancing youth on a skateboard! The room was fine, as was the service.
