Best known for its elegant architecture, traditional food and live music scene, New Orleans is one of the most joyful cities in the USA.

With diverse cultural influences, including African, French and Anglo, this lively destination has retained its unique atmosphere and traditions. With such a rich heritage and distinct charm, there's no shortage of things to do on New Orleans escorted tours. From street performers and Mardi Gras to serene cathedrals tours, the Big Easy has it all.

The famous French Quarter is a popular first stop. Embark on a walking tour or a bus tour of this historic neighbourhood and marvel at its picture-perfect colourful buildings with iron balconies, or stop by in the evening to take advantage of its lively nightlife spots. The Garden District is home to oak-lined avenues, grand mansions and local streetcars, while the nearby Louisiana Swampland offers swamp tours and opportunities to sample Creole cuisine. Hunt down ghouls on a quirky ghost tour, spot the painted wooden houses of Tremé or soak up the atmosphere at Preservation Hall, one of the city's oldest music venues.
