Further Information

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 30 minutes from Linate airport and 60 minutes from Malpensa and Bergamo airports.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Itinerary changes

Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.

Italian hotel room tax

Some regions of Italy have introduced a room tax of between 1 € and 3 € per person per night, payable directly by the guest to the hotel on check-out. You will be advised by your Tour Manager in resort if a particular hotel is implementing this charge.

Luggage Allowance

Please note that for two people travelling together on one booking, or a single traveler, one piece of hold luggage is included. Additional hold luggage may be purchased at the time of booking at a cost of £30 per bag.

*Low deposit of £50 applies to new bookings made between 1st October and 30th November 2016 (inclusive) only. This offer only applies to selected 2016, 2017 and 2018 air breaks only. This offer is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.

This holiday was described as 'Milan Christmas Shopping', however the Festive Season in Milan does not officially start until 7th December (after we had left) so no Christmas cheer or decorations. However, it is always a fascinating City to visit. I have two issues with this Holiday which need addressing: (a) "The visit to a designer shopping mall" - (which was in Switzerland rather than Italy) was to a cold, soulless mall, with extremely expensive and rather old fashioned 'designer' items. A lively, modern alternative would be preferable. (b) We stayed at Starhotels Business Palace, which was warm and clean. However, its location was not ideal, as it was remote, isolated and lacking in places to eat and drink. On Sundays the one local restaurant was closed and there was no other local choice available. We ate at the Hotel where the food was over-priced and absolutely terribe. Perhaps you could advise travellers that they may be better off staying in the Centre of Milan to eat, after their shopping expedition?

Our transfer was 30 minutes late. We then had to carry our luggage quite a distance to where the vehicle was parked. Our hotel was good, but in the middle of nowhere, no facilities in the area, except for an excellent restaurant just down the road, where we had evening meals as the food in the hotel was extortionate / not worth the price. Our tour guide (Giulia) was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Always wanted to visit Milan... Didn't disappoint... Very expensive though.. The hotel was great and the younG tour guide was lovely and helpful.

The visit to the out of town shopping outlet was unsuitable....future tours would be better going somewhere affordable.. Everything was out of our price range and it wasn't a particularly nice place to visit.
Perhaps you could include a trip INTO the Duomo. The queues were too long for a short holiday: it would have wasted too much time.
