Itinerary

Day One

We leave the local area by coach this morning and travel to Birmingham, where we should arrive by early afternoon. You're free to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of the largest outside Germany, and features traditional wooden chalet-style stalls offering ceramics, candles, glasswork, jewellery and Christmas decorations, as well as traditional German items such as wooden toys, nativity scenes and marionettes.

Enjoy an early dinner before we re-board the coach and continue to the hotel.

Day Two

After breakfast, we'll enjoy a short visit to the Ironbridge Gorge, to see the memorable sight of the famous 196-foot long bridge spanning the spectacular Severn Gorge. Afterwards, we head to Blists Hill, the award-winning recreated Victorian town.

Experience festive celebrations from the 1800s as knowledgeable, costumed staff give you a fascinating insight into Victorian life. See the townsfolk prepare seasonal decorations and traditional presents, while the sounds of carol singers and brass bands fills the air.

We'll leave in the early to mid afternoon, and should arrive back at your original pick-up point by mid to late evening.

A thoroughly enjoyable break, rep was lovely, explained difficulties with traffic well. The only thing that would have improved it was a bit longer in Ironbridge which was cut in time because of traffic problems.

Unfortunately the feeder coach was cold and prompting the coach driver made no difference until near home. The tour manager was excellent, we had a hold up and she was equipped with tapes to keep us entertained.

The break was nice but due to traffic we didn't have long in Birmingham .I don't know why they didn't let us have another hour there. Also the hotel wasn't great very short of staff the maids was leaving duvets on the floor in the morning in the hallway which I thought wasn't very hygienic. The trip was to iron gorg was lovely but nothing was open we was told buy the tour manager that the museum open different time but we noticed that all the other coaches came as we were leaving and the museum didn't have different opening times .I do feel that the trip was done around what the manager wanted what's best for her I have been on a few trip with Newmarket but don't think I will be returning again I wasn't alone a few passengers felt the same I would like a reply to this regards Esther Sargent .
