Deck Plans

Click here to display the deck plans for this cruise.

Day One

Fly to Amsterdam, and join Olympia in the attractive Dutch capital. Enjoy dinner and a leisurely evening on board, before the ship sets off early in the morning and out into Lake Markermeer.

Day Two

This morning is spent in Hoorn, a charming 17th-century town and former base for the Dutch East India Company. Later this morning, Olympia cruises across the inland sea for a short call in Lelystad, and an optional excursion this afternoon offers you the chance to visit Het Loo Palace, the former Dutch royal residence.

Later, Olympia heads into the Markermeer sailing towards Zaandam, where the pretty streets are lined with colourful houses and iconic windmills, once subjects of Claude Monet's paintings.

Day Three

Today's excursion is a true spectacle, as you visit the world-renowned Keukenhof Gardens. With some seven million flowers in bloom during the springtime, the ground here transforms into a dazzling sea of colour. Take a scenic boat ride (payable locally) or leisurely stroll through this floral paradise, stopping for refreshments at one of the cafes along the way.

This afternoon, re-join Olympia in Amsterdam and enjoy one final evening on board, or opt to join a cheese and wine canal cruise through the city's iconic waterways.

Day Four

Bid farewell to Olympia, and return to Amsterdam airport to catch your flight home.

Further Information

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Pre-paid drinks package

Spend just £17.50 per person per night, and enjoy unlimited draught beer, house wine and soft drinks (including water, tea and coffee) between 10am and midnight while on board Olympia. All other drinks are not included. The drinks package must be purchased by every person occupying a particular cabin.

Optional shore excursions

Optional excursions are available on all cruises, and we recommend that you book now to secure your place. If the number of bookings needed to operate any excursion is not reached, the excursion may be cancelled. In this case your payment will be refunded in full.

Tipping is not compulsory, but from experience we know that many passengers like to leave gratuities for the crew. An envelope will be left in your cabin for this purpose.

Dress code

The dress code on board and ashore is casual. After 7pm, in the lounge and restaurant, shorts are not permitted, and footwear and a shirt or T-shirt must be worn.

Where possible, non-rigid suitcases are easier to store within your cabin.

Drinking water

The tap water on board is safe to drink, but may not be to your taste due to the purification system.

Itinerary changes

On rare occasions, the Captain may need to alter the Cruise Itinerary. If this happens, the Cruise Manager will keep passengers informed.

Cabin sizes

The majority of cabins on board are 10.5m square. Single cabins are approximately 7.7m square. (These measurements include the bathroom.) Standard Promenade cabins are 15m square and most have double beds (which do not convert to sofas), but they do not have a table or stool and will by subject to engine noise during overnight and early morning sailing.

Airport development fees

An Airport Development Fee has been introduced at a few UK Airports. You will be required to pay this charge at the following airports prior to checking in for your flight: Blackpool, Durham Tees Valley, Newquay and Norwich. The amount varies from airport to airport, but it is generally between £5 and £10 per person. Please visit the airport's website for further information.

*This offer applies to new bookings made between 24th February and 14th April 2017 (inclusive) only. Prices shown when booking do not include the discount. The discount amount will be added to your booking once the promo code has been entered and will be confirmed before purchase. Single cabin full fares will be discounted by 25 per cent when the promo code is applied. The offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, and may be withdrawn at any time.

Arriving about lunchtime we were told the cabins were not ready but we could use the lounge ,we thought coffee might be available but no!!At least the Ship was berthed within walking distance of Amsterdam centre. We realise that changes due to bad weather was not the fault of Newmarket. We had a good berth in Zandam but never got ashore. Left by bus on Thursday to Keukenhof thinking at least we would be back in our original berth at night but no ,we were stuck in some backwater across from a scrap yard, where we had to be bussed to join a canal barge right next to the original berth. That was a complete fiasco.
The Cruise Manager was doing his best to sort everything out .We thought it was pretty poor customer relations to be left in the lounge with water only for 5 hours. How difficult would it have been to fill a few flasks of tea or coffee and leave out a few buns from breakfast ??

A lot in a short time but disappointing that we were stuck on the last day waiting to go to the airport with no tea/coffee facilities on the boat. Shouldn't be advertised as a four day trip as there is nothing on the last day.

A three night cruise on Olympia to visit Keukenhoff gardens on third day which was the highlight. Unfortunately our visit to Hoorn on the second day had to be abandoned due to bad weather so we went straight to Lelystad.

We were pleased with this holiday and blessed with nice weather. A little disappointed that we could not get food or drink on the ship when we arrived until 4pm. As the trip is listed as full board, lunch or even just the afternoon tea could have been provided. Food once we got it was delicious, beautifully presented and for us nice choices. House wine reasonably priced.
The cabin is 'snug' but had amazing storage, and nice touch with mini fridge and free safe.
The ship is quite old but was clean and comfortable.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
More time needed in Hoorn as beautiful place.

The meet and greet at the airport in Amsterdam was appalling, it was nowhere near the exit of the airport terminal but in the station concourse at the busiest point, the Newmarket representative was very difficult to find as she blended in with other people.
On arrival at the ship it was extremely dissapointing that no services were to be available until 5pm just a coffee machine would have helped and the same when we were waiting to leave the ship.
