- Due to changes to flight arrangements this trip turned out to be 2 full days travelling and 2 days in the resort. The transfer from airport to hotel was 3 hours in a people carrier with no stop at all. The same for the return journey. It was a long way to go for 2 days in a resort which was mainly closed down for the winter. When we arrived, late, on the first night we found the restaurant was closed for the season although the brochure said there was a restaurant. We had to go out searching for an evening meal. The hotel itself was empty except for the 15 Newmarket people and a handful of others, it felt unwelcoming. There was no rep to greet us and we only saw her on the mini bus that took us to Merano the next day. We were left to ourselves on the third day and did not see the rep again before we left on the 4th day. There was an optional excursion to Verona on the 3rd day but we had not booked this at the time we booked the holiday.
Basically this holiday was too far to go for a short break and was not good value for money. We have travelled with Newmarket several times before and have had good trips with good reps. This one did not meet our expectations.
