Day One: Depart Bristol Avonmouth
Board Marco Polo in Bristol, today. Get to know the cruise staff and your fellow passengers as your UK cruise begins this afternoon, and, later, enjoy dinner on board.
Day Two: St Mary's, Isles of Scilly
Marco Polo arrives at St Mary's in the sheltered waters of the Isles of Scilly, this morning. Explore Hugh Town and the lovely landscape that surrounds it, or cross to Tresco for the chance to see the spectacular sub-tropical plan collection at Abbey Gardens.
Day Three: Honfleur, France
Today your cruise takes you across the Channel to Honfleur. Relax in town or join a shore excursion into the Normandy countryside - perhaps even heading to Monet’s magical gardens at Giverny.
Day Four: At sea
Spend today at sea, relaxing as Marco Polo cruises back into UK waters.
Day Five: Newcastle, UK
This morning we’ll arrive in Newcastle. Head ashore to visit the city, or simply relax on board.
Day Six: Invergordon, Scotland
Invergordon, in one of Britain’s great natural harbours welcomes Marco Polo, today. Here you’ll be able to join shore excursions to Inverness and Loch Ness, or perhaps head to the Royal Golf Club at Dornoch or the famous Ord whisky distillery.
Day Seven: Kirkwall, Orkney
A stop in Orkney’s tiny capital, Kirkwall, brings the chance to discover the unique history, traditions and wildlife of these rugged yet beautiful islands, which encircle the historic waters and long-standing naval base of Scapa Flow.
Day Eight: Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
Today Marco Polo arrives in the Outer Hebrides and anchors off Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Wander the streets of the town, or visit the 4000-year-old stone circle at Callanish to marvel at the way the island’s deeply embedded human history enhances the rugged beauty of the landscape.
Day Nine: Tobermory, Isle of Mull
Discover the delightful scenery and spectacular wildlife of the island of Mull, and wander the colourful waterfront of pretty Tobermory, as Marco Polo stops here, today.
Day 10: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Belfast offers a range of interesting diversions. From the Titanic Quarter to the historic city centre, and to the vast ’stone staircase’ of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond, there’s plenty see on your day here.
Day 11: Douglas, Isle of Man
The Isle of Man, where time seems to stand still and visitors are transported back to a gentler-paced era, welcomes Marco Polo today. Explore the island capital, Douglas, and perhaps join an optional shore excursion to discover the beauty of the island's rugged landscape.
Day 12: Arrive Bristol Avonmouth
Disembark at the end of a wonderful spring cruise as Marco Polo returns to Bristol today.
Days marked above with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.
British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise. Since some countries require visitors to be valid for at least six months after the return date of the cruise we recommend that all customers ensure that this is the case. Holders of non-British passports should check with the relevant embassies to see if any requirements and restrictions exist for any countries visited during the cruise.
