Life on board Columbus
There's far more to Columbus than we could possibly fit on this page. Click below to find out more about her cabins, restaurants and other excellent facilities.
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?
Day One: Depart London Tilbury
Board Columbus in Tilbury, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Day Two: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Columbus's first stop is Amsterdam. At this time of year, the tree-lined canals and cobbled streets take on a magical air. A towering tree rises in front of the Royal Palace in Dam Square, and the lawns of the Museumplein south of the Rijksmuseum are replaced by a vast ice-rink. Explore this delightful, cosmopolitan city, and perhaps treat yourself to a glass of advocaat and a flaky, buttery slice of Roomboter Banketstaaf (a traditional Dutch festive treat).
Day Three: Hamburg, Germany
Around lunchtime, today, Columbus arrives in Hamburg. Browse the stalls of the lively Christmas Market that fills the Rathausmarkt (town hall square) with the sounds of fairground music and the scents of gingerbread and gluhwein, or perhaps head into the St Pauli district where legendary Beatles venues like the Indra Club and Kaiserkeller still host live bands almost every night.
Day Four: At sea
Spend the day relaxing on board as Columbus cruises towards Belgium.
Day Five: Antwerp, Belgium
This morning, Columbus calls in the enchanting city of Antwerp. The "diamond capital of the world" sparkles at Christmastime, and the colourful Christmas Market held in Grote Markt offers a array of original and traditional Christmas gifts and specialities. Enjoy the atmosphere amid the twinkling lights, nativity scenes and festive music while savouring a cup of mulled wine or a delicious Belgian waffle.
Day Six: Arrive London Tilbury
Disembark at London Tilbury and make your way home, after a wonderful Christmas markets cruise.
Days marked above with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.
British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise. Since some countries require visitors to be valid for at least six months after the return date of the cruise we recommend that all customers ensure that this is the case. Holders of non-British passports should check with the relevant embassies to see if any requirements and restrictions exist for any countries visited during the cruise.
