Full Itinerary

Day One

Join Astoria in Poole for her late afternoon sailing, and spend a first evening settling into life on board.

Day Two

The first stop on Astoria's journey is the French port of Dunkirk, scene of the great rescue of World War Two. See the evacuation beaches or visit the Dunkirk Memorial and the Operation Dynamo Museum.

Day Three

Enjoy a relaxing day on board as Astoria sails towards Scotland.

Day Four

Explore the historic capital of Orkney as Astoria docks in Kirkwall, situated a mile from the waters of Scapa Flow, where HMS Royal Oak sunk in WW2. Take the chance to visit Kirkwall's magnificent centrepiece, St Magnus Cathedral, or join an optional shore excursion to discover the highlights of the island's unique mix of history, archaeology, crafts and wildlife.

Day Five

Today Astoria anchors off Stornoway, capital of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides. Beautiful and unspoiled, these ancient islands have been inhabited for over 6,000 years. Wander through the town, or take the excursion to Callanish's famous Standing Stones, thought to be nearly 4,000 years old.

Day Six

This morning brings the opportunity to explore the small town of Tobermory, situated on the beautiful island of Mull. Admire its picturesque, multi-coloured houses encircling the waterfront, or pay a visit to nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.

Rejoin the ship in the afternoon for her cruise along Loch Linnhe to Fort William, where she'll moor overnight.

Day Seven

Today finds Astoria in Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis. This remote town is gateway to the stunning scenery of the Highlands. Don't miss the opportunity to discover the perfect Highland valley of Glen Nevis, backdrop for movies like Rob Roy, Harry Potter and Braveheart, and perhaps take in Fort William's fascinating West Highland Museum.

Day Eight

Astoria arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast 'stone staircase' of the Giant's Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

Day Nine

Dublin, the great city of culture, is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Join the shoppers on Grafton and O'Connell Streets, or choose to relax at the city's famous bars, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Day 10

Astoria arrives in Cobh this morning. Join our optional shore excursion to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland. Alternatively, you may wish to head into the beautiful rolling countryside beyond, to the fashionable resort of Kinsale, famed for its fine food and sea fishing, or to famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city.

Day 11

Glengarriff, set against the backdrop of the rugged Caha Mountains, is today's destination. This pretty village enjoys a balmy microclimate in which sub-tropical plants flourish. Spend the day exploring this green oasis before rejoining Astoria for her late afternoon sailing towards the Isles of Scilly.

Day 12

Astoria enters glorious blue waters to take in the celebrated Isles of Scilly. Go ashore to explore tiny Hugh Town on St Mary's. There's also the chance to take an optional excursion to stunning Tresco, where the world-famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest collection of subtropical plants.

Day 13

Arrive in Poole, bid farewell to the crew and your fellow travellers, and disembark at the end of your holiday.
