Day One

Day Two

Spend today at leisure, taking advantage of your resort's amenities and exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Day Three

View Dubrovnik and the Adriatic beyond from the city's impregnable walls, on today's optional excursion. You'll also discover wonders such as the medieval Old Town, busy Luza Square, impressive Sponza Palace, and the Franciscan Monastery, which houses Europe's oldest pharmacy. The afternoon is free for you to sightsee and shop at your leisure.

Day Four

Drive south on today's full-day optional excursion and see breathtaking Montenegro before continuing to the spectacular Bay of Kotor, Southern Europe's largest fjord, and to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor itself. You'll also visit Cetinje, with its monastery and Royal Palace, and one of the oldest settlements in the Adriatic, Budva.

Day Five

Today you'll travel through the wildlife paradise of the River Neretva delta and the narrowing river gorge, into Bosnia-Herzegovina and historic Mostar. Wander the restored streets and visit the 17th-century Koski Mehmed pasa Mosque, or perhaps purchase some local craftware from the nearby market, before returning to your resort.

Day Six

On today's optional excursion we'll head northwest along the coast and cross the azure waters to the beautiful island of Korcula - claimed by some to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. Step ashore to discover the narrow streets and restored stone buildings of the island's ancient main town.

Day Seven

The Elaphiti (Deer Islands) are among the most beautiful on the Croatian coast. Cruise there on today's optional tour and visit tiny Kolocep, with its sandy beach, and perhaps - depending on the captain's decision - neighbouring Lopud, former watering hole of Dubrovnik's noble families.

Day Eight

We leave Croatia, today, and transfer to the airport to board your flight home at the end of a fascinating and relaxing holiday.

We had a very relaxed holiday in Dubrovnik. The hotel was good value for money, the food was very acceptable and the trip to the Elaphantine islands was great. The local bus services were excellent and the local shops near our hotel provided us with any extras that we needed. As usual the organisation by Newmarket was very good. The only disappointment was the delay in the flight both on the way out and on the return journey.

We stayed at Valamar Club hotel and I think we got what we paid for. Its worth paying a bit extra to have a sea view to waken up to in the morning. We went full board and the food is plentiful but, as with most mass catering, can get a bit boring, but there are restaurants close by which are very good. Its nice to eat outside but there are plenty of wild cats around looking for food which some may find unhygienic and unpleasant. The beach close by looks like its being developed and will add to the attractions. There are boat trips from this beach which are very good. Its not a bad base from which you can get into the Old Town on the bus in 15 minutes cheaply.

Hotel very pleasant. No tour manager available on a regular basis. We arrived on Sunday evening and rep briefing was not until Tuesday morning. We found our way around by talking to other guests at the hotel. Was disappointed no tours included in the price of the holiday.

Although the holiday overall was very enjoyable there are some points that we feel you need to consider.Firstly our tour guide,I believe here name was Maria, could not speak very much English, consequently it was difficult to understand her instructions for the different tours. The welcome meeting was held on the Monday ,24 hours after our arrival and so a lot of the general information supplied we had already found out.The meeting was led by the above mentioned guide and due to her lack of English soon descended into chaos resulting in people leaving the meeting scratching their heads and wondering what is what.At this point I would like to make it very clear that the guide is a very nice person but needs a lot more practice to greatly increase her command of the English language.
Lastly the optional tour to Mostar is just too far for a one day trip,in total we were on the coach for 7 hours and our time in Mostar was just 1 hour 45minutes.

WE had a lovely holiday good hotel food good The holiday rep seemed to have too much work
so saw little of her The replacement Maria did a good job under a difficult situation. As was explained ,normally Maria accompanied German visitors this explained her difficulty with English although she did a good job . It would have been a great help if the rep had seen us throught the precedures at the airport most of us were alittle confused, and as her next flight was not due she could have come into the airport and made sure we were all ok.Over all a very good holiday and would visit the resort again.

Hotel room was good because I blagged a sea view without extra payment and this made it. Food boring after a while - no variety. Trip to Budva a waste of time as dreadful place. Made excursion too long. Good overall.
