Life on board Marco Polo
There's far more to Marco Polo than we could possibly fit on this page. Click below to find out more about her cabins, restaurants and other excellent facilities.
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?
Day One: Depart from Rosyth
Board Marco Polo in Rosyth today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Day Two: At sea
Spend today relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Day Three: Flam and Sognefjord
The tiny village of Flam, at the inner end of Aurlandsfjord, welcomes Marco Polo today. Here you'll have the chance to board the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway for the journey to Myrdal. Later this afternoon, the ship navigates her way into stunning Naeroyfjord where some of fjordland's prettiest scenery awaits.
Day Four: Olden, Nordfjord
Today you’ll call at Olden. This tiny village of clapbpoard houses and rolling green pastures is the starting point for an excursion, through scenic countryside, to the famous Briksdal Glacier. This immense frozen cliff is actually just one of the 50 arms of the Jostedal Glacier, which covers almost 200 square miles of the surrounding landscape in an vast, slowly shifting blanket of ice.
Day Five: Geirangerfjord
Exquisite Geirangerfjord is one of the smaller fjords, but is undeniably among the most beautiful. Today Marco Polo cruises its twists and turns through a landscape marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient villages like Hellesylt and Geiranger. Disembark in Geiranger to take in the beauty of it all, or to enjoy an optional excursion.
Day Six: Bergen
Compact and friendly, Bergen was once a great trading city within the Hanseatic League. It remains Norway's second city and, despite being sheltered from the sea by its seven hills and outlying islands, is unashamedly nautical in outlook. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Day Seven: At sea
Make the most of your final day on board as Marco Polo cruises back to the Scottish mainland.
Day Eight: Arrive in Rosyth
Bid farewell to Marco Polo and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.
Days marked above with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.
British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise.
