Your Itinerary

  • Depart: 2030hrs

Board Marco Polo, settle in to your cabin and enjoy your first excellent dinner on board as she gets underway this evening.

  • Arrive: 1300hrs

    Depart: 2000hrs

Marco Polo's first call is the long, narrow harbour at Cobh, the maritime gateway to the capital of southwest Ireland, Cork. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic city, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.

  • Arrive: 0700hrs

    Depart: 1830hrs

Skirting the coast of south west Ireland, Marco Polo heads to exquisite Bantry Bay. Go ashore at Glengariff, a green oasis where sub-tropical plants flourish set against the backdrop of the rugged Caha Mountains. Take an excursion into County Kerry and Killarney National Park, which sits beneath the wonderfully named Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range.

  • Arrive: 0730hrs

    Depart: 1700hrs

Galway City welcomes you, today. The old centre surrounds ancient Lynch’s Castle and a pedestrianised thoroughfare leads down to the thriving waterfront. Enjoy lunch in one of Galway’s countless eateries, take a harbour cruise, explore the city's cobblestone streets, visit its imposing (and unexpectedly modern) cathedral, or perhaps make the most of the varied shopping.

  • Arrive: 1100hrs

    Depart: 1800hrs

The pretty port of Killybegs nestles in a sheltered bay on the Ulster coast a little way west of Donegal. It's an ideal place from which to explore the cliffs and hills of the Wild Atlantic Way. Killybegs itself is famous for its fishing, and also for carpets and tapestries. The International Carpet Making and Fishing Centre is well worth a visit.

  • Arrive: 0830hrs

    Depart: 1900hrs

This morning, Marco Polo arrives in Belfast. Explore the historic city's centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter and its exhibition that tells the story of the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast stone staircase of the Giant's Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

  • Spend your final full day on board relaxing and making the most of Marco Polo's facilities.

  • Arrive: 0500hrs

Say goodbye to Marco Polo, her crew and your fellow passengers as she arrives in Bristol, today, and you disembark at the end of a wonderful cruise.
