Full Itinerary

Day One: Depart from London Tilbury

Board Magellan in Tilbury, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail shortly after lunchtime.

Day Two: Amsterdam

At once historic and cosmopolitan, Amsterdam is our first port of call. Get to know this delightful, friendly city of picturesque canals and step-gabled buildings, perhaps visiting its world-class museums or exploring those enchanting waterways on a canal cruise.

Day Three: At sea

Spend today relaxing and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.

Day Four: Kirkwall

Today Magellan arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.

Day Five: Oban

Magellan's next stop is the pretty port of Oban on the rugged west coast of Scotland. Take a stroll around the harbour, or join a shore excursion, perhaps to one of the many nearby whisky distilleries, before Magellan sets sail for Irish waters this afternoon.

Day Six: Belfast

Early this morning, Magellan arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast ’stone staircase’ of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

Day Seven: Cobh and Cork, Ireland

Magellan arrives in Cobh this morning. Join our optional shore excursion to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland. Alternatively, you may wish to head into the beautiful rolling countryside beyond, to the fashionable resort of Kinsale, famed for its fine food and seafishing, or to famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city.

Day Eight: At sea

Relax on board as Magellan sails around the Cornish coast and into the English Channel on her way to France.

Day Nine: Rouen and the River Seine

Today Magellan navigates into the heart of Normandy - heading to the ancient city of Rouen. We'll spend the rest of the day here, giving you the chance to explore. See the Place du Vieux-Marche, site of Saint Joan's martyrdom, the famous one-handed mechanical clock and the stunning Gothic cathedral.

Day 10: Honfleur

Returning to the mouth of the Seine, Magellan's next port of call is Honfleur. Wander the streets behind the pretty harbour, or perhaps join an optional excursion into the surrounding countryside.

Day 11: Arrive back at London Tilbury

Bid farewell to Magellan, her crew and all your fellow travellers, this morning, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.

Days above marked with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.
