Day One

Leaving your pick-up point, this morning we'll take a leisurely journey to our hotel. Check in, unpack and then relax until dinner is served.

Day Two

The RHS Chatsworth Flower Show promises to be a spectacular and fascinating addition to the horticultural calendar. Laid out to maximise the magnificent views and grounds of its unique venue, and with specially designed bridges across the River Derwent linking different sites, the show aims to champion "the horticultural innovation of today and the future".

The highlight of the show will surely be the re-creation of Sir Joseph Paxton's magnificent Great Conservatory at Chatsworth. The original took four years to build and was the largest glass building in England until the construction of the ill-fated Crystal Palace in London, but this new version will house floral displays and miniature Mediterranean and tropical habitats.

Explore the show gardens and see the entries to the competition focused on the RHS's new science strategy (Gardening in a Changing World). Shop for the latest gardening gadgets and accessories, and discover the latest trends and innovation in the world of garden design.

In the late afternoon we'll leave Chatsworth to begin our journey home, heads filled with new ideas to try in our own gardens.

Please note that Chatsworth Flower Show takes place on open parkland. Some temporary trackway is laid, but we advise suitable clothing and footwear, especially in the event of inclement weather.

Coach seating arrangements

Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Minster Thanet Friends
So disappointed with coach. Found it cramped and neither my husband or I are overweight. Didn't expect luxury but a magazine holder on back of the seat in front and some rubbish bags I would consider basic essentials given how many hours we were on coach. We were told to take our rubbish with us. Also found it cold plus too many pick up points, starting from Margate. The St Albans pick up we feel could have been made at South mimms services where we stopped for s a break .Andthe holiday inn where we stayed in wakefield was so far from Chatsworth. So we couldn't recommend this break to anyone.

Well organised and efficient pickups. (Quite a logistics exercise when we found there were at least 10 Newmarket coaches at Chatsworth). Tour manager and driver were both friendly and helpful. Time at Chatsworth was just right (though might not be enough in later years if the show grows bigger). The only downsides (replacement coach, traffic holdups on M1, and dodgy weather) could not be blamed on Newmarket.

Bridgend Friends
The journey took nearly ten hours to get to our hotel (I could have flown to Barbados quicker) then it took 2 hours to get from the hotel to Chatsworth Flower show why was an Hotel in Warrington chosen surely one could have been picked closer rather than having to crawl into Warrington on a Friday teatime. The trip was spoilt by so much travelling. Unfortunately due to weather conditions part of the ground at the flower show was a mud bath and very slippy.

Very poor. The coach didnt stop at services until 7 minutes from the hotel despite requests from passengers. The driver and guide were relying on sat nav to guide the route seemed to have no knowledge of the area and why stay in Widnes to visit Derbyshire. Wont be using Newmarket again!!!
