Take a guided tour of one of the world's most enchanting - but least-seen - gardens. On this great-value coach trip you'll also visit the Palace itself to explore the magnificent State Rooms, browse the Royal Gifts exhibition - a collection of gifts presented to HM the Queen by world leaders over the past 65 years - and see a special Tribute to Diana to commemorate 20 years since her death.

Day One

Leaving the local area in the early morning we'll head to Royal Windsor. Wander the pretty streets of this lovely riverside town, or pre-purchase tickets to Windsor Castle to see the magnificent State Apartments.

After a pleasant afternoon in Windsor we'll continue to our overnight hotel.

Day Two

Today we head to Buckingham Palace for a guided tour of this iconic royal residence's delightful gardens. Discover the beautiful herbaceous border, the wisteria-clad summer house, the Rose Garden, the enormous Waterloo Vase and the Palace Tennis Court on which King George VI and Fred Perry 'crossed racquets' in the 1930s.

Your visit will also include time to explore the Palace itself: the Grand Staircase, the State Dining Room, the magnificent Ballroom, the Music Room and the Picture Gallery. You will also see the Royal Gifts exhibition, which tells the story of the Queen's reign through a wide-ranging display of official gifts presented to Her Majesty by world leaders from every continent over the past 65 years. Take the chance to pay tribute to Diana in the Music Room, where a collection of treasures chosen by her sons - The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry - celebrates her commitment to duty and their personal memories of their mother. During your visit, don't miss the views over the Garden's famous lawn from the West Terrace's new Garden Cafe.

After your time at the Palace you'll take a short, afternoon Royal London sightseeing tour before we begin our journey home, arriving back in the local area by mid-to-late evening.

Heathrow/Slough Area Hotel 

You will be allocated a good hotel in the Heathrow/Slough area, such as the Holiday Inn Slough, and the Jury's Inn, Heathrow. The rooms will all have private facilities, telephones, TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, trouser presses and hairdryers, and all the hotels will have good bars and restaurants.

Further Information

Coach seating arrangements

Your Tour Manager will have allocated seats for you on the main coach in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible, and will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Dursley Couple
Well organised with an excellent driver and tour manager who made sure everything ran smoothly.
We unfortunately had 2 passengers who ignored her clear and concise instructions to return to the coach at the drop off point.
This resulted in a delay of over 30 minutes until resolved, which in turn meant heading home through the worst of the London works traffic and it being necessary to ring ahead to inform 4 ongoing pick up coaches at Membury services that we would be late.
There were also passengers being picked up by family members or friends who also had to be informed of the delay
Fortunately it didn't spoil our day but was both frustrating and annoying whilst waiting for their arrival so we could get going!!!
