Beatles Tour Itinerary

Day One: Travel to your hotel

Leaving the local area in the morning, we'll head towards Liverpool and your hotel. After check-in you'll have the rest of the evening free to relax and unwind before dinner is served.

Day Two: Beatles Coach Tour

Today we take a trip into Liverpool and step back in time to the rock 'n' roll days of the early 1960s. Our dedicated 'Beatles' guide will bring to life the world of Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane on a themed included coach tour.

See where John and Paul first met, where the quartet grew up and the poignant 'Eleanor Rigby' sculpture, then step inside the Cavern Club itself - one of Britain's most legendary music venues. The tour also includes a short stop at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral - where Paul McCartney failed to pass his audition to get into the choir! This mighty cathedral is Britain's largest, and is the fifth largest cathedral in the world.

After the tour, explore Liverpool at your own leisure. Perhaps find out more about John, Paul, George and Ringo at The Beatles Story - a "magical history tour" that includes innovative recreations of Abbey Road, the Casbah Coffee Club and even a Yellow Submarine. The city is also home to the UK's largest collection of museums and galleries outside of London; perhaps visit the TATE Liverpool or the World Museum, which in 2018 will temporarily house China's legendary Terracotta Warriors.

Day Three: Take the 'Ferry 'Cross the Mersey'

After a leisurely breakfast we'll return to Liverpool and board the "Ferry 'Cross the Mersey" to see the city from a whole new perspective. On this fascinating 50-minute cruise the informative on-board commentary will reveal the history behind some of the city's key landmarks.

Afterwards you'll have some free time in Liverpool before we begin our journey home, arriving back in the local area by mid-to-late evening.

Further Information

Changes to itinerary

Please note that in certain circumstances it may be necessary to change the order in which the itinerary is operated.

Coach seating arrangements

Your Tour Manager will have allocated seats for you on the main coach in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible, and will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

The hotel and extras were good but the coach journey and attitude of the tour manage were diabolical. It took 9 hrs to get there and we were not kept up to date as to what was happening . The tour guide left people behind at a pickup point. we were not informed that once we were on the main coach we would still be picking people up, we were lost in Lincoln and then travelled to Doncaster completely the wrong direction for Liverpool and the same on the way home. As it was only a weekend trip we spent more time travelling than we did in Liverpool. We had to be back at the coach on the Saturday at 4 pm to return to the hotel, where there was nothing to do until dinner(which was excellent). We had looked forward to this trip for along time and then the organisation spoilt it.

Wonderful 2 days packed with full itinerary. Liverpool guide was excellent and full of knowledge really brought the lives of the Beatles from school days to present time telling us about the songs connected to local areas. Beatles story museum was very good too.
