Answer: Mount Fuji, Japan
This remarkable peak, often shown reflected in the still waters of its surrounding lakes, is a place of enormous cultural significance in Japan, having been featured in countless works of art and literature. It is also considered one of Shinto’s most sacred sites, with shrines and torii gates arranged around its base, and is a popular pilgrimage route.

Translating as the ‘Towers of Blue’, this impressive granite formation has only existed for around 12 million years, making it one of the world’s youngest mountains. Despite its relatively low age, the towers are no less impressive than some of their older neighbours, and have played a key role in drawing visitors to wild Patagonia since the late 19th century.

Answer: Table Mountain, South Africa
As a major part of Cape Town’s world-famous skyline, Table Mountain has become as much a tourist attraction as the city’s Dutch colonial landmarks and vibrant V&A Waterfront. Answer: Mount Cook, New Zealand
Named after James Cook, the English explorer who charted much of New Zealand in the late 18th century, this vast alpine landscape is known to local Māori communities as Aoraki (Cloud Piercer). Standing at over 3,000 metres tall, Mount Cook is New Zealand’s tallest peak and has drawn visitors from across the globe to the country’s South Island for centuries.
