Full Itinerary

Day One

Board Marco Polo in Bristol today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day Two

Spend the first day relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.

Day Three

Marco Polo's first call, in Belfast, brings chances to explore this unique city - where the gleaming Titanic Quarter is a must-see attraction - and the scenic Antrim countryside.

Day Four

Today Marco Polo arrives in the Western Isles, to anchor off Stornoway, capital of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides. These beautiful, unspoiled islands have been inhabited for over 6000 years. Explore the town, or take the excursion to Callanish's mysterious Standing Stones, thought to be nearly 4000 years old.

Day Five

The small town of Tobermory on the beautiful island of Mull, with its picturesque, multi-coloured houses encircling the waterfront, is a delightful place to explore, as is nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.

Day Six

Today Marco Polo arrives in Dublin. This great city of culture, once home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets are popular with visitors, as are the city's famous bars and pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Day Seven

Cobh is gateway to the great Irish city of Cork. Discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland, or perhaps head into the beautiful rolling countryside beyond to fashionable Kinsale, or to Blarney Castle for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone and receive "the gift of the gab".

Day Eight

Bid farewell to Marco Polo and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.

Torquay, Devon Couple
For a first cruise we were pleasantly surprise with how well it was organized, from embarking to disembarking.

A very pleasant week spent at sea and visiting places we had never seen before. The guides were very well informed especially the ex policeman at Belfast!

Our cabin was extremely noisy as it was situated on the top deck above an auxiliary generator room which was roaring away 24 hours a day.

I am sure most people enjoyed the cruise but this was my first and I have discovered that cruising is not for me.

The boat is showing its age, however the staff make up for this they were very helpful and also carried a smile. We were a little concerned with our cabin, we thought being on deck 9 the cabins would be larger, not much room for a couple, but it was maintained very well by the allocated member of staff, but the shower room was very much in need of improvement . The entertainment staff were very good as was the food and service received by the waiters but as stated the boat has seen better days.

Coleford. Glos Single traveller
My first solo holiday and my first cruise. The ship was smaller than the ones around the Mediterranean and Caribbean but that made it better and much more friendly. I chose this one because it was smaller and leaving from a more local port of call. Also, because I had always wanted to visit the Outer Hebrides and am not too concerned about seeking the sun.

9. A relaxing week to visit parts of Scotland and Ireland. Fortunately, the weather was good and the sea was calm, otherwise it could hav ebeen a different story.

On board facilities were good, and the cabin was very comfortable.
