Join us on a holiday to San Diego

Although sometimes overshadowed by its Californian cousins Los Angeles and San Francisco, San Diego delivers everything you could want from a destination, while remaining under the radar.

San Diego holidays can include everything from whale watching to eating at Michelin starred restaurants, so no matter what your ideal trip is, an escorted San Diego tour is sure to hit the spot.

The water is a key part of the city’s appeal, with marine wildlife playing a huge part in what makes San Diego great. The sheer diversity of animal life is astounding: leopard sharks, grey whales, and sea lions are just some of the animals you can see in the wild. A massive reason for this is the city’s commitment to La Jolla Ecological Reserve and the associated La Jolla Sea Caves, both excellent attractions well worth heading to. The city and surrounding water can be explored in many ways, but if you prefer to look at the water instead of being in it, Coronado Island has plenty of stretches of sandy shoreline.

San Diego tours aren’t just about the water. San Diego Zoo is one of the best in the world, and if you’re here over winter their Jungle Bells celebrations are incredibly festive, even in the December heat. The area around San Diego Bay and nearby Seaport Village is buzzing with life, with hundreds of excellent bars and restaurants to choose from. And, of course, there’s the lively Gaslamp Quarter, which is also home to some great independent theatres and comedy clubs.

Food and Drink in San Diego

It’s obvious the seafood here is second-to-none thanks to its freshness.

However, even among the delectable dishes on offer in San Diego, Sushi Tadokoro stands alone. The sushi restaurant has just earned its first Michelin Star and is well worth the accolade.

A San Diego invention of the best kind, carne asada fries are a mouth-watering fusion dish that is a must-try for visitors to the city. Available in most places, you’ll be hard pressed to find a local that doesn’t love them, and for good reason.

Influenced heavily by its proximity to Mexico, you'll find authentic Mexican cuisine in every corner of this multi-faceted city.
