Join us on a holiday to Lake Nakuru
UNESCO-listed Lake Nakuru is Kenya’s most famous lake, thanks to its eye-catching population of flamingos.
Kenya is one of the best destinations to enjoy an unforgettable wildlife experience and safari holidays. The east African country is home to Lake Nakuru National Park, a 73-square-mile environment of biodiversity and beauty. The lake comprises nearly a third of the park, with this precious area being dedicated exclusively to wildlife conservation.
Lake Nakuru National Park is also a birdwatchers' paradise. It’s home to millions of colourful, vibrant aquatic birds. If you think life is prettier in pink, the UNESCO-listed national park will be your happy place. The park is famous for its enormous population of flamingos that take up residence along the shallow lake. There are often thousands of these creatures lining the shores, giving the lake a mirage-like appearance.
Birds aside, the park currently has around 45 black and 31 white rhinoceros, according to UNESCO. It’s also home to hippopotamus, otters, and the Rothschild's Giraffe.
