Fly to Venice and transfer to Norwegian Star. Settle into your stateroom, explore your surroundings, be on deck as the magnificent ship slips her moorings and heads away from the stunning Venetian skyline, as you enjoy a first evening aboard.
The impossibly beautiful walled city of Dubrovnik emerges from the Dalmatian Coast like a floating medieval fortress, exuding charm and history from its weathered, marbled streets. Explore this 'Pearl of the Adriatic', with its red-ochre-roofed buildings and its offshore islets, perhaps walk its surrounding ramparts and soak up the atmosphere from a seat in a pavement cafe.
Today's destination is Montenegro, home to some of the Mediterranean's most stunning beaches, luxuriant pine forests and some enchanting, preserved medieval settlements, including UNESCO-listed Kotor on its spectacular bay.
After Norwegian Star docks in Katakolon, today, you'll have the chance to head inland to the ancient temple complex at Olympia - home for over a thousand years to the ancient Olympic Games. The ruined Temple of Zeus still dominates the site, and you can still walk through the vaulted tunnel from the main sanctuary into the stadium as athletes did two and a half millenia before.
Norwegian Star arrives in Athens' great port of Piraeus, and there's the opportunity, on optional excursions, to explore the beguiling Greek capital, with its fabled Acropolis, topped by the familiar Parthenon. Close by other major monuments, despite the ravages of time, remain awe-inspiring windows to the great Classical Greek Civilisation and its immortal leader Pericles.
A second day at sea brings another chance to enjoy all the pleasures of cruising, Norwegian Star-style, as she sails back into the blue Adriatic Sea.
Vibrant Split welcomes us on today's included tour. Wander the Old Town, visit the palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian and browse the colourful marketplaces of Croatia's second city.
Awaken early as the ship returns across the beautiful Venice Lagoon, then bid farewell to Norwegian Star and her crew, and transfer back to the airport for the return flight, at the end of a wonderful holiday.

The transfer time from the airport to the cruise terminal is approximately 20 minutes.
We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your cruise terminal. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your cruise terminal. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
An Airport Development Fee has been introduced at a few UK Airports. You will be required to pay this charge at the following airports prior to checking in for your flight: Blackpool, Durham Tees Valley, Newquay and Norwich. The amount varies from airport to airport, but it is generally between £5 and £10 per person. Please visit the airport's website for further information.

British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise. Since some countries require visitors to be valid for at least six months after the return date of the cruise we recommend that all customers ensure that this is the case. Holders of non-British passports should check with the relevant embassies to see if any requirements and restrictions exist for any countries visited during the cruise.
