Rough seas on two nights made changes to 2 ports of call. The first change was well managed, with trips unaffected. The second change, calling at Allesund was a wasted day, as the trips were cancelled and the replacement process not well publicised. Allesund was "closed" as were not expecting any more cruise ships!

We enjoyed our cruise as a one-off and we think that maybe cruising on the whole is not for us.

We didn't enjoy the feeling of having nowhere else to go and nowhere to go for a walk, except the deck which was a case of going to different parts to find lifts or steps. It took us the week to work it all out!

This was a first cruise for six of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The size of the ship was just right and our cabins were spacious and comfortable. Every member of staff was delightful and so very helpful. Cleanliness was exceptional and we especially liked the hand sanitisers situated throughout the ship and the encouragement to use them when entering and leaving the dining areas

1 The meal arrangements left much to be desired. For example, we had the first sitting at dinner. The restaurant was cramped, and we were actually asked to leave the table so that it could be made up for the second sitting. This was some three quarters of an hour before the sitting was due. Whilst they need to get it done, this was a bit too pushy. Five minutes later, we would have been gone anyway.
2 At breakfast, there was just one chef cooking eggs, with two small frying pans. Not enough, as there was ALWAYS a queue. Similar problem with the toast, again always a queue.
3 We paid to go fully inclusive. At dinner, the staff were so busy, that it took Ages to get our wine glasses refilled. What was frustrating, was that the bottle was almost in arms reach, but we were not allowed to help ourselves. A bottle on the table would have solved this, AND helped the staff.
4 There was an overriding reluctance for some passengers to vacate tables in the Bistro, especially at lunchtime. Consequently, there was always a line waiting.
5 The onboard showtime was built up to be a WOW. Regrettably, it was far from it. The comedian was good, but the ships resident ensemble just did not get anywhere near the WOW. In fact we gave up going in the end.
6 The Sinatra Bar! I thought "great". Bound to be good Sinatra (type) music there. How wrong I was. A lady pianist and violinist. They tried their best I am sure. But the choice of music was depressing.
These are not Moans for the sake of moaning, but genuine points that could easily be resolved.
