Day One

Fly to Edinburgh, and transfer to your hotel by coach. After check in, head into the city for a short, guided tour, revealing well-known sights such as Princes Street and Jenners (the world's oldest department store), the imposing cliff-top Castle, St Giles Cathedral, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile.

(Depending on your arrival time, this tour may take place on the morning of day two.)

Day Two

Spend today relaxing in the hotel or exploring the city further. Visit one of the impressive museums or the Castle, or perhaps browse the stores along famous Princes Street.

Edinburgh's colourful Christmas Markets offer plenty of entertainment and gifts galore. Shop for Scottish handicrafts and foodstuffs at the Traditional Highland Village Market in Princes Street Gardens - transformed into a winter wonderland complete with an ice rink and a funfair - or enjoy tasty delights and find unique gifts at the authentic German Market. (A return transfer into the city centre is included today.)

Day Three

Spend another day in the city, or board the coach for the included transfer to Ocean Terminal at nearby Leith. Search for special presents in the designer stores, or step aboard the former Royal Yacht Britannia, which lies at rest in the harbour (entry payable locally).

This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

Lovely place, bad experience at hotel. Early morning fire scare but no sign of rep to do a head count. Rep seemed to be preoccupied most of the time.

England Couple
As this was a short break (2 nights), we were pleased to have so much free time if we wanted to do our own thing. The coach trip around Edinburgh got us off to a great start and Joyce and George made this very interesting.

We liked the hotel and the friendly staff. The Scottish breakfast was spot on!

The City of Edinburgh is lovely and you have plenty of time to look around at the attractions it has to offer.
The German market was interesting but very busy as you may expect.
