Flexible Booking

When you book with Newmarket Holidays, you can rest assured that you are in the very safest of hands. We know just how much your holiday means to you, and we want you to know that we will financially protect you from any last-minute policy changes. We’ve also taken other steps to ensure your safety, with our new six-point Wellbeing Charter and COVID Cover Travel Insurance, available at no extra cost.  

As you will have seen from the recent change in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice for travelling to Spain, the UK Government is taking a very proactive approach in mitigating any potential COVID-19 risk at this time. Whilst we fully support this approach, we will act in an equally proactively manner to protect you financially in the event that your holiday is affected by a similar change. 

That’s why we’ve introduced our new Flexible Booking Policy that changes with the times. Our new policy covers both existing and new bookings.

 

Existing bookings 

 

  • Should the FCO advice change and you are unable to travel as they deem there being even the slightest risk it may be unsafe (defined in this case as “we recommend against all but essential travel”), then we will contact you with your options including an amendment to a new holiday with no administration fee or a full refund of your balance monies paid back within 21 days of the original departure date.
  • Should the FCO advise it is safe to travel on your holiday but have added a requirement that you quarantine for 14 days on return to the UK, then we will continue to operate that holiday but offer you the opportunity to amend your holiday with no administration fees, up to 21 days before departure. You can also, if you wish, cancel your holiday and any balance paid to us will be refunded to you within 21 days. Please note in this case you would lose your deposit. 

 

New bookings

 

If you are thinking of making a new booking, we understand that you may want some additional reassurance at this time. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce that anyone who makes a new booking with Newmarket Holidays before 30 September 2020, departing before 31 March 2021, will be able to amend their holiday at no cost, up to 21 days before departure.

If you make a new booking and the FCO advises against all but essential travel to your destination, even if the departure date is within 20 days, we will contact you to explain all your options, including transferring to a new holiday or amending your existing holiday with no administration fee, and a full refund of your monies paid.
