Day One

Leaving the local area in the morning we'll journey to the Georgian city of Bath. Arriving in the early afternoon, you'll then be free to visit the city's wonderful Christmas Market. Set between Bath Abbey and the city's famous Roman Baths, 120 wooden chalet-style stalls offer quality products and great gift ideas - from handcrafted jewellery and decorations to cards, toys and local produce.

You may also like to visit the restored Roman Baths and Museum, the 15th-century Abbey and the Assembly Rooms, or take advantage of the city's excellent shopping. After the chance to have an early evening meal, we'll head to our overnight hotel.

Day Two

After breakfast we'll leave the hotel and head through the beautiful Cotswolds. Here gently rolling hills, tree-lined valleys and ancient woodland form the perfect backdrop for honey-coloured stone villages and famous market towns.

We'll take in two of the area's most famous towns - Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold (with its impressive market square). You'll have plenty of time to explore both villages, and perhaps have lunch, before we head home in the mid-afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid-to-late evening.

Apart from torrential rain on the Saturday, it was fine. I will say though that I had no idea at all of what was happening, or when because no mention was made on my details. I had no idea that I would be in Bath for 7 and a half hours (in pouring rain as it happened), nor whether it would be on the Saturday or Sunday. That length of time, in view of everywhere being packed with people, so that there was nowhere to escape from the rain or eat or drink, was rather too much for me (since I was on my own).

If our opinion really does matter then maybe you will contact me to discuss. currently i have no confidence in booking any future trips or to recommend you to family and friends which is a shame

Bath market fine but 7 hours here is much too long. Hotel dreadful. bar charges highest I have seen, e.g.nearly £6 for glass of wine. Breakfast a disaster. They ran out of everything even though we were on a booked coach trip. Took ages to replace and then it was cold, no apology at all. Tables not cleared and staff absolutely useless and looked miserable all the time. TM did not give any info till last minute. Left one passenger at Bath and started off to leave 3 at Bourton until we all shouted - this after counting 4 times. Not suitable as a TM, which he almost admitted.
