Food and Drink on the Jurassic Coast

You can’t head to this region of England and not try Dorset's Blue Vinny Cheese.

The creamy, blue-veined cheese is mostly mild with a few spots of deep flavour, and is perfectly paired with a rich red and fruity chutney.

Although lettuce is often considered nothing more than a garnish, down here it’s the star of the show in the surprisingly rich and filling Lettuce Soup. Have a bowl after a day of exploring and you’ll see just how restorative everyone’s favourite salad green can be when prepared the right way.

There’s nothing quite like bundling into a country pub after a day of windswept views and fossil hunting, and thankfully the Jurassic Coast is home to countless places to sip a pint of bitter and indulge in a hearty meal.
