Despite its long Islamic history, pork remains at the heart of Sevillian meat dishes.

Carrillada de cerdo, or pork cheek, is the most well-loved iteration of this, and one of the main tapas options in the city. Try the melt-in-the-mouth specialty and you’ll never want to have pork any other way again.

People from Seville love a celebration, and the late-night fiestas are usually lubricated by orange wine. An Andalusian product, it’s created by macerating white wine with orange peel, and is ideal for drinking under the baking Seville sun.

The Triana neighbourhood is a colourful spot, but most importantly, you can find the best tapas in the city here. On a small peninsula between two branches of the Guadalquivir, it has a unique character but serves typically Sevillian food, so if you’re looking to eat like the locals, there’s nowhere better to go.
