Discoveries of captivating cities combined with scenic cruising of some of Europe’s most beautiful waterways makes for a memorable, endlessly rewarding adventure. Borealis will take you through two of the world’s largest and most picturesque archipelagos, weaving between rocky islands and forested islets, in Turku and Stockholm, while you’ve a chance to kayak within the Helsinki Archipelago too. There’s also a sail past the Olsen family home in Hvitsten, on the shore of Oslofjord, for a memorable start to your time in Norway.

Before sailing the Stockholm Archipelago, you’ve ample time to see the Swedish capital’s architectural highlights, such as the Royal Palace; visit the many museums; and perhaps take a boat trip on the picturesque canals. In Denmark, you can experience another romantic boat ride along Copenhagen’s canals, though you may opt to explore on foot to see the Danish capital’s famous sights, from the famous Little Mermaid and Nyhavn waterfront district to the Royal palaces. During your visit to Finland, you’ve also a chance to explore the islands of Helsinki and see Suomenlinna sea fortress on a boat tour. There is so much history to delve into too; highlights include a visit to the beautiful island of Gotland for a glimpse into Sweden’s Hanseatic heritage in historic Visby, and a day to explore Tallinn – Estonia’s capital – and its fairytale-esque Old Town.
