Sailing a journey specifically planned to offer you chances to witness the Northern Lights, you’re in for an unforgettable Arctic adventure on this special nine-night cruise. During evenings spent on board Balmoral, you may – with luck on your side – get to see Mother Nature’s awe-inspiring light show in all its glory, watching ribbons of colourful light streak and stream elegantly across the night sky from the comfort of your smaller ship – a simply unforgettable experience.

Speaking of unforgettable experiences, there are plenty awaiting you ashore too, during visits to three Arctic destinations. These include opportunities to join a memorable dog sledding tour, during which you’ll even get to mush your own team of huskies as you explore the wintery wilderness, and have a go at traditional ice fishing, whilst in Tromsø. You’ll also get to experience the beauty and tranquillity of Pretty Bodø, situated on the rugged Kystriksveien Coastal Route, and Narvik – surrounded by dramatic mountainous landscapes – too. Plus, during scenic cruising on Balmoral, you’ll capture the diversity of Norway’s scenery as you sail by sights sights such the Seven Sisters mountain range and Torghatten – the mountain with a hole through its centre, and journey through the Tjeldsundet Strait.
