Poole is one of the world’s largest natural harbours, its central position on the South Coast ensuring a hassle-free journey to the cruise terminal. The port's convenient road and rail links mean that cruises from Poole are an accessible option for passengers from London, the South of England, the West Country and even the Midlands. The cruise terminal is remarkably easy to reach, less than five minutes drive from Poole train station and the town centre. The port is just half a mile away from the city centre, and the same distance from the train station. Poole station has rail connections across southern England and up to London Waterloo. Bournemouth Airport is just 12 miles away from the harbour.
By train: The nearest rail station is Poole station, which is less than a mile from the terminal - a four-minute drive or around a 20-minute walk.
By car: Connected to the A31, M27 and the M3 to London, Poole is easy to reach by road. The A350 runs north to Bristol, while the A35 runs west to Dorchester and Exeter. Once you’re in the town, follow signs for the port. There are secure car-parking facilities close to the Passenger Terminal, and you will be given directions to the car park.
Please note that once you have completed the check-in process and passed through security you will be taken by bus to your cruise ship. Passengers are not permitted to walk within the Port Area.
The port is well-equipped, and offers amenities including a seated waiting area, cafe and toilets. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
