Situated on the stunning River Clyde, the port of Greenock is easily accessible from Glasgow, with various road, rail and air connections. The port’s perfect location makes cruises from Greenock a great option for passengers based in Scotland and Northern England. The Port of Greenock has great rail, air and motorway connections that make it very easy to get to the cruise terminal. The A8/M8 allows access to the terminal and is close to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Glasgow and Prestwick international airports are within easy reach of the terminal.
By train: The nearest rail stations are Greenock Central and Greenock West, which are both around a 15-minute walk or a short taxi ride from the port. The stations run services connecting to Gourock and Glasgow. Glasgow Central station is 25 miles away, and provides connections to and from Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Cardiff.
By car: Take the M8 into Greenock and follow the A8 to Greenock Road. From here, follow the directions to the cruise terminal. There is car parking, but it must be booked in advance.
There are basic facilities available at the port of Greenock including toilets, a currency exchange, information areas and various shops. There is disabled access at the terminal.
