Situated at the mouth of the Dee River on the east coast of Scotland, Aberdeen Harbour and the port of Aberdeen lie just outside the centre of the city. The cruise terminal has excellent links to local bus and rail stations, and is just seven miles from Aberdeen airport. The airport's regular flights to and from to the rest of the UK make cruises from Aberdeen a realistic option for holidaymakers outside the city itself. The Port of Aberdeen has great transport connections that make it very easy to get to the cruise terminal. Passengers can access the terminal by road via the A90, while the nearest rail station, Aberdeen station, is just a mile away. The nearest airport, Aberdeen Airport is a 20-minute drive away.
By train: Located on Guild Street in the city centre, the closest rail station to the cruise terminal is Aberdeen, which is just a five-minute walk away. Taxis are available, and it’s a seven-minute drive from the station to the terminal. Trains run to and from Scotland, London, Northern England and the Midlands.
By car: Leave the A90 and continue on the A92, then take the Great Southern Road and follow signs to the harbour. There are secure parking facilities at Commercial Quay, which are operated by Aberdeen Harbour Board. Parking is allowed for a maximum of 72 hours.
There are basic facilities available at the port of Aberdeen, including toilets, a disabled toilet and hot and cold drinks vending machines. There is disabled access at the terminal.
