Join Magellan for an unforgettable summer cruise around the UK. Sail south from Greenock, Spend a day in Belfast learning about the city's long and complex history and exploring the Titanic Quarter, and another in Dublin wandering Grafton and O’Connell Streets and Temple Bar, visiting Trinity College and 'soaking up the culture' in the city's pubs and bars.

Discover astonishing island scenery and tiny, perfect ports on Orkney and Guernsey, and the heather-clad glens of the Highlands as Magellan anchors in Oban and the great natural harbour of Invergordon. After a call in Portsmouth, Magellan will cross the Channel and cruise up the Seine to Rouen. Stroll along narrow streets past half-timbered houses, see the magnificent Cathédrale Notre-Dame, and climb the belfry of the Gros Horloge to enjoy wonderful views. Magellan will spend the night here before retracing her route down the Seine and back around the UK to Liverpool.

    Early this morning, Magellan arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter and its exhibition that tells the story of the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast stone staircase of the Giant's Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

  • Arrive: 0800hrs

    Depart: 2000hrs

    This morning Magellan arrives in Liverpool. Discover the great city's seafaring heritage, soak up some culture at the Walker Art Gallery, or perhaps learn how the Fab Four found fame at The Beatles Story.

  • Arrive: 0700hrs

    Depart: 1600hrs

    Magellan arrives in Dublin, today. This great city of culture, once home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets are popular with visitors, as are the city's famous bars and pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

  • Arrive: 0900hrs

    Depart: 1800hrs

    Magellan's next stop is the pretty port of Oban on the rugged west coast of Scotland. Take a stroll around the harbour, or join a shore excursion, perhaps to one of the many nearby whisky distilleries. If you have the energy, why not climb Battery Hill to McCraig's Tower? On clear days, the views of the Islands of Kerrera and Mull are well worth the effort.

    Depart: 2200hrs

    Today Magellan arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.

  • Arrive: 0700hrs

    Depart: 1600hrs

    This morning you'll arrive in the great natural harbour at Invergordon on Scotland's rugged East Coast. Step ashore to explore, or join an optional shore excursion, perhaps to Loch Ness in search of Nessie. Golfers may head to the fine course at nearby Dornoch, while whisky connoisseurs can make a pilgrimage to the celebrated Glen Ord Distillery.

  • Spend today relaxing on board.

  • Arrive: 0900hrs

    Depart: 1800hrs

    Portsmouth has a long, proud maritime history. Visit the refurbished D-Day Museum to see the 82-metre long embroidery of images and events from Operation Overlord, or perhaps head to HMS Victory, HMS Warrior or the Mary Rose Museum.

  • Arrive: 1500hrs (Day 10)

    Depart: 1500hrs (Day 11)

    Today Magellan navigates into the heart of Normandy - heading to the ancient city of Rouen. You'll spend the afternoon and the night here, before leaving in the early afternoon of Day 11, which means you'll have plenty of time to explore. See the Place du Vieux-Marche, where Joan of Arc was executed, the city's famous one-handed mechanical clock (one of the oldest timepieces in France) and the stunning Gothic cathedral.

  • Arrive: 0800hrs

    Depart: 1800hrs

    Guernsey's St Peter Port welcomes Magellan this morning. See 800-year-old Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, wander the town's cobbled central quarter and make the most of the island's tax-free shopping.

  • Spend today relaxing on board.

  • Arrive: 0800hrs

    Disembark in Liverpool at the end of a wonderful summer cruise. An optional coach transfer back to Greenock will be available to book in advance.
