Your Itinerary

  • Travel to Cologne and head to your A-ROSA ship. In the late afternoon she'll head out into the Rhine to begin your river cruise. Enjoy an early evening meal on board and settle into your new surroundings.

  • This morning, you'll arrive in cosmopolitan Amsterdam. Explore the city, visit any number of its famous museums and galleries, or take to the water on a tour of the canals for which Amsterdam is so renowned.

You'll also enjoy an included visit to Keukenhof's fantastic, verdant Gardens before returning to the ship, or staying in the city to sample the local cuisine. Stop for a drink in one of the many lively pubs and bars, or simply stroll the cobbled streets taking in the city's many sights.

  • Early this morning you will arrive in maritime Rotterdam, Europe's largest port. Rotterdam is also Holland's second largest city, and is home to the Erasmus Bridge. Observe the intriguing architectural landscape of the city, which was completely re-shaped after its near destruction during World War Two.

This afternoon, return to your A-ROSA vessel to enjoy a delightful cruise through the Dutch waterways.

  • Early today you'll dock in Nijmegen, the Netherland's oldest city with over 2000 years of history behind it. Despite its age, the city has a lively atmosphere, which you'll discover on a stroll through the cobbled historic quarter of elegant Dutch townhouses and pretty courtyards that surround the Great Market and Stevenskerk church.

  • After an overnight cruise up the Rhine, you'll arrive back at Cologne. Say farewell to your fellow passengers and disembark to begin your journey home.

Further Information

  • If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
  • Optional excursions are available on all cruises. If the number of bookings needed to operate any excursion is not reached, the excursion may be cancelled.
  • Tipping is not compulsory, but from experience we know that many passengers like to leave gratuities for the crew. At the end of the cruise you will find a tip box for the entire crew at the reception and the suggested amount is five Euros per guest per day. Of course, you are free to tip individual crew members at any time, should you wish.

  • All ships have stairs, are not equipped with lifts, and may not be suitable for passengers with restricted mobility. Wheelchairs cannot be used on board.

  • The dress code on board and ashore is comfortable and casual; we recommend that you bring sturdy footwear for excursions. For the restaurant we recommend smart casual dress. Please remember to bring warmer clothes for evenings out on deck.
  • Wi-Fi is provided free of charge in accordance with A-ROSA's conditions of use. You can request a login and password from reception. Internet reception is limited and will vary from location to location.
  • Where possible, we recommend non-rigid suitcases as these are easier to store within your cabin.
  • A heated pool can be found on the sun deck of the following ships: A-ROSA DONNA, FLORA, SILVA and STELLA.
  • A heated Whirlpool can be found on the following ships: A-ROSA AQUA, and VIVA.
  • In your cabin you will find a safe installed in the wardrobe, a hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, insect screens and pool towels. The power supply in your cabin is 220 V/50 Hz. All sockets are European two-pin, meaning you will need to bring an adapter.
  • All A-ROSA vessels are air-conditioned throughout, with individual climate control in each cabin.
  • The water on board is potable and bottled water is provided in your cabin.
  • On rare occasions, the Captain may need to alter the Cruise Itinerary. If this happens, the Cruise Manager will keep passengers informed.
