Journey to the City of Flamenco and experience Christmas markets, whose colour and festive charm more than make up for the lack of snow. Set against the backdrop of some spectacular sights, this delightful setting is the perfect place for a Christmas market break. The chance to visit another great Andalusian city, majestic Cordoba, completes this winter-warming festive break.
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?
Day One: Fly to Spain
Fly to Seville or Malaga, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to the hotel. Waste no time in exploring the surroundings and enjoying your first evening in Seville, a city that, true to its Andalusian traditions, bustles into the evening, with its famous tapas bars and a host of restaurants and cafes from which to choose.
Day Two: Included tour of Seville
Enjoy this morning's fascinating guided tour of a city that was the setting for Bizet's Carmen and Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, where every street is lined with ripening orange trees, and which boasts a host of world-class sights and atmospheric old quarters. Don't miss the vast, magnificent Gothic Cathedral, the strikingly spectacular Metropol Parasol wooden structure, and the immense Plaza de Toros, Spain's oldest bullring. Wander the streets of the Moorish Alcazar and the adjacent Jewish Quarter, perhaps take in Plaza de Espana, the city's ornate centrepiece, or stroll the promenade alongside the River Guadalquivir.
In addition to the richly decorated streets, and a host of traditional crib scenes, dotted around the city - featuring the quirky and bizarre cagner gnome as well as the Holy Family - there are several wonderful Christmas markets. These include the traditional artisan market in front of the Town Hall, another beneath the monumental Metropol Parasol and a third at the modern Nervion Plaza.
Day Three: Optional excursion to Cordoba
Spend another day at leisure in Seville, soaking up the delights of the Christmas markets, or join an optional excursion to the great city of Cordoba. See its breath taking Mezquita, the huge Mosque into which the Christian cathedral has been incorporated, and its own colourful Christmas market held on historic Plaza Tendillas.
Return to Seville for a last evening.
Day Four: Fly back to the UK
Bid farewell to your Andalusian hosts, and transfer back to airport for the return flight.
Hotel transfer times
The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 30 minutes.
Combining hotel transfers
We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
For two people travelling together on one booking, one piece of hold luggage is included. Additional hold luggage allowance can be purchased direct from the airline when you check in for your flight.
