Your Itinerary

  • Fly to Croatia's second city Split, and transfer by coach to the beautiful harbour at Rogoznica, the most western point of the Croatian mainland. Board Mendula and settle in to your cabin, meet your fellow passengers and the friendly crew, and perhaps step ashore to wander along the colourful promenade before a first dinner is served aboard. Each evening (hopefully under starlit skies) you'll be able to enjoy a nightcap at the top-deck bar, or head ashore to enjoy a gentle stroll whenever Mendula is tied up at the dock. (Passengers arriving early can enjoy delightful Rogoznica, and perhaps take a dip before they embark.)

  • After breakfast, Mendula heads away from Rogoznica’s beautiful marina and sails north along the verdant coastline towards the ancient town of Šibenik, Croatia’s oldest settlement. En route you may have time to enjoy a first dip in the crystal-clear Adriatic waters; the captain will try to find a suitably sheltered and beautiful spot for swimming and snorkelling off Mendula’s aft platform each day, weather permitting. For some, the joys of cruising, sometimes under sail, just offshore, are pleasure enough.

Lunch will be taken on board, today, before you step ashore to enjoy a guided tour of medieval Šibenik, its haphazard heart watched over by UNESCO-listed St James’s Cathedral. Later, as Mendula moors overnight in the harbour, perhaps enjoy dinner in Šibenik’s delightful old town.

  • Today you'll cruise towards the 140 islands of the Kornati archipelago, idyllically set in aquamarine waters, 89 of which form part of barren, sun-kissed Kornati National Park. You'll make a memorable stop in beautiful Telašcica Bay, an anchorage surrounded by islets, and after lunch onboard in this idyllic setting you’ll sail on to Dugi Otok’s charming port of Sali, for an overnight stay.

  • Slipping away from Sali, this morning, Mendula heads back to the mainland (with a swim stop, weather permitting) to tie up in Zadar. The historic former capital of ancient Dalmatia was once an Italian enclave, and is now a vibrant, cosmopolitan ferry port and university city much restored since World War Two’s destruction.

After lunch on board, the medieval maze on Zadar's central peninsula is a delight to wander, its central Forum plaza crowned by 9th-century St Donat’s church and the city's vast Romanesque cathedral. You'll discover several other churches, and some surviving city walls, on an included walking tour, and then have the evening free.

  • Today brings two contrasting calls as Mendula leaves Zatar and makes her way south. First is colourful Vodice, where you'll have the chance to go ashore to soak up the atmosphere of this popular holiday hideaway, and perhaps enjoy lunch, before you head to blissful green island Zlarin. A paradise of forested coves and tiny sandy beaches, this is the perfect spot in which to enjoy your Captain’s Dinner on board and a night under the stars.

  • Mendula makes her way towards the medieval gem of Trogir, as beautiful a settlement as any on the Dalmatian Coast, today. Built on an island separated from the mainland by a narrow channel, this exquisite walled city surrounds an ancient cathedral. and will be brought to life on the included walking tour. Its maze of narrow streets is a haven for shoppers, while the ramparts of Kamerlengo Castle afford stunning views over the city and its surroundings.

Sailing south, with another stop for a swim, Mendula makes her lazy way towards her last fascinating port - Croatia’s vibrant second city, Split. Why not step ashore to enjoy dinner in this lively, engaging place?

  • Enjoy this morning’s guided tour of Split, with its wondrous UNESCO-listed Old Town and palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. Enjoy a last lunch on board, and perhaps a final afternoon swim stop, as you sail back towards idyllic Rogoznica to spend the night back here, in one of Croatia’s most beautifully located marinas. Enjoy a last evening ashore, perhaps dining in a choice of restaurants.

  • Bid Mendula farewell, and return to the airport to board your flight home at the end of a wonderful holiday.
