Your Itinerary

  • Board Marco Polo in Bristol today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
  • Settle into the shipboard routine of rest and relaxation as Marco Polo spends today at sea.
  • Marco Polo cruises into the mouth of Seine, this morning, to stop at the historic port of Honfleur. Explore this favourite retreat of the French Impressionists, with its Vieux Bassin harbour surrounded by gabled houses, or perhaps join a shore excursion to Deauville or Monet's Gardens at Giverny.
  • After spending the night in Honfleur, Marco Polo cruises upriver into the heart of Normandy, today, heading to the ancient city of Rouen, where she'll moor overnight. Stroll the pretty, cobbled streets of Rouen, today, past the site of Joan of Arc’s martyrdom in the Place du Vieux-Marche and beneath the Renaissance arch that houses the ornate Gros Horloge (one of the oldest clocks in France) to the Place de la Cathedrale.
  • Early this afternoon, Marco Polo will leave Rouen and cruise back down the Seine to the sea.
  • Guernsey’s charming St Peter Port is crowded around a busy harbour. Fortified Castle Cornet is a ‘must-see’, as are the views from Candie Gardens. Visit stunning Hauteville House, once the home of Victor Hugo, whose exquisite taste in interior design is preserved in the house.Day Seven: St Mary's, Isles of ScillyThe Scillies are one of Britain's most verdant corners, often bursting into life weeks before the rest of the country. Step ashore to explore tiny Hugh Town on St Mary's and the flower-strewn byways beyond. Take an excursion to stunning Tresco, where the world-famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest sub-tropical plant collection.
  • Disembark as Marco Polo docks in Bristol this morning.

Days marked above with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.
