    Today you’ll call at Olden. This is the starting point for an excursion, through scenic countryside, to the famous Briksdal Glacier. This immense cliff of ice is actually just one of the 50 arms of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, which looms over the entire eastern reach of the Nordfjord.

  • Arrive: 0900hrs

    Depart: 1500hrs

    The lovely town of Kristiansund stands on a cluster of four islands at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s also the starting point of the Atlantic Ocean Road, a five-mile ribbon of roads and bridges that links the islets and skerries that skirt this part of the Atlantic coast.

    Depart: 2400hrs

    Marco Polo’s next port of call is remote Alta. Spend the long hours of darkness here sky-gazing - the stars and Northern Lights are at their most astounding here. Explore the Arctic region of Finnmark (home to the indigenous Sami people, and the prehistoric rock carvings at Hjemmeluft) on one of our exciting optional excursions.

    Depart: 1700hrs

    Today Marco Polo docks in the pretty, remote village of Honningsvaag. Join an optional excursion to the famous visitor centre at Nordkapp, almost at Europe’s northernmost point. You’ll return to the ship, passing Europe’s true north tip at Knivskjellodden, before Marco Polo continues south.

  • Arrive: 0800hrs

    Depart: 1800hrs

    This morning Marco Polo calls in Tromso, recognisable for its magnificent Arctic Cathedral that rises proudly from its bustling centre. Explore the daily market and fascinating Polarmuseum, which chronicles the lives and exploits of the likes of Amundsen and Nansen.

  • Arrive: 0700hrs

    Depart: 1500hrs

    Narvik - part port, part ski resort and also the famous final stop of the Norrlandstaaget night train from Stockholm - welcomes you today. Catch the cable car up the Fagernesfjellet mountain to enjoy take in spectacular views across a landscape that saw some of WW2’s fiercest northern battles.

  • Spend today relaxing on board.

  • Arrive: 0930hrs

    Depart: 1500hrs

    Your final call is in Bergen, an ancient city of medieval houses, cobbled streets, and the birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and the fish market, stroll past historic Bryggen’s wooden warehouses and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of ‘Mount’ Floyen.
