The Power & Beauty of Nature

Discover the history, culture and stunning scenery of Iceland on this two-week cruise from Hull. As Marco Polo carries you up to and around the Icelandic coast, you’ll have opportunities to explore four fascinating ports, including the island capital, Reykjavik. Visit lively, cosmopolitan towns surrounded by a landscape that manages to be at once forbidding and unimaginably beautiful, see vast greenhouses filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, and learn how the island’s spectacular volcanoes, hot springs and geysers have been harnessed to provide power and warmth.

You’ll also sail around Surtsey, where continuing volcanic activity is gradually reshaping a landscape that only rose above the sea in 1963, call at the stunning North Sea island ports of Torshavn and Lerwick, and have the chance to head into the lochs and glens of the Scottish Highlands as Marco Polo stops in Invergordon.
