Your Itinerary

  • Join Magellan in Dundee, today, ahead of her afternoon sailing.

  • Our next port is the Shetland capital, Lerwick. Spend time exploring this rugged but enchanting town, or join an excursion to the 3,000 year-old archaeological site at Jarlshof, with its Bronze and Iron Age remains.

  • The ’stretched’ village of Kollafjordur welcomes Magellan to the Faroes today. Tiny Torshavn is the capital of this cluster of remote islands, home to countless bird species and deep-rooted Norse traditions. On an optional excursion to other islands, you might cross the famous ‘Bridge across the Atlantic’, which connects the main island, Streymoy, with smaller Eysturoy.

  • Today Magellan arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.

  • The Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to explore. Spend the day in picturesque Portree, with its quayside fish 'n' chip shops, or join an excursion and head north, past the Old Man of Storr, to Duntum's Museum of Island Life; west to brooding Dunvegan Castle; south past the spectacular Cuillins; or even across the bridge to mainland Scotland.

  • Early this morning, Magellan arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast ’stone staircase’ of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

  • Magellan reaches Liverpool today, where you'll disembark after a wonderful cruise. (An optional coach transfer back to Dundee will be available to book before departure.)

Days marked above with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.
