Board Magellan in Bristol for a cruise across the Channel to the mouth of the River Seine. Step ashore in Honfleur to discover the pretty harbourside, lined with brightly painted houses, that so inspired the French Impressionists, then relax on board as Magellan slips upstream through the Normandy countryside to Rouen. Wander the city's narrow streets past half-timbered houses, stop to admire the one-handed, blue-and-gold face of the Gros Horloge, see the magnificent Cathédrale Notre-Dame, and relax with a drink in the Place du Vieux-Marche, where Joan of Arc once stood trial.
As your cruise begins you'll also have the chance to visit Cork, southern Ireland's historic centre of commerce, culture and fine food, as Magellan calls in Ringaskiddy.
